Most conventional deodorants and body products that are used on a daily basis contain aluminum chlorohydrate, parabens, propylene glycol, triclosan, TEA, DEA, FD&C colors, and quaternium 18, among other toxic chemicals. Some of these chemicals mimick estrogen and thus increase the risk of breast cancer. Most breast cancers originally develop as a hormone-dependent cancer, in which growth and progression of the disease correlates with estrogen levels.
A study from 2007, published in the Journal of Inorganic Biochemistry, did tests on breast samples from 17 breast-cancer patients who had undergone mastectomies. The study found that women who used antiperspirants had deposits of aluminum in their outer breast tissue. And these concentrations of aluminum were higher in the tissue closest to the underarm than in the central breast.
According to some experts, parabens were also found to increase the risk of breast cancer by mimicking estrogen. Researchers have found parabens inside autopsied breast tumors. Dr. Darbre comments on the study: “Parabens are used as preservatives in thousands of cosmetic, food, and pharmaceutical products, but this is the first study to show their accumulation in human tissues. It demonstrates that if people are exposed to these chemicals, then the chemicals will accumulate in their bodies.”
We all know that sweating is an important function of our body. Our sweat contains chemicals that fight diseases and it is vital to keep the pores under our arms unclogged. There’s a cluster of lymph nodes beneath our skin in the armpit that work to remove foreign cells. And products laden with chemicals prevent this removal of toxins. However, you can do an armpit detox which can help your body pull out stored toxins, chemical residue, and unclog your pores.
Prevent Breast Cancer through an Armpit Detox

1 tablespoon organic apple cider vinegar
3 drops Rosemary essential oil
5 drops Cilantro essential oil
1 tablespoon bentonite clay
3 drops Rosemary essential oil
5 drops Cilantro essential oil
1 tablespoon bentonite clay
Instructions
- Mix the apple cider vinegar and the clay in a glass bowl and add the essential oils. You should get a mixture that looks like sour scream.
- Spread a thin layer of this mixture on your armpit and leave it for a few minutes.
- Rinse after a while. Repeat this every day until the odor subsides and your natural deodorant is no longer irritating.
Drink plenty of water during the detox period, because your body needs a way to flush out all of the toxins.
