Jesus Told His Followers To Be Ready At All Times For The End – But To Watch For Signs In Order To Be PREPARED!
It is a known fact that NO ONE on Earth or the Heavens know when the end will come. That sacred information belongs exclusively to our Heavenly Father. Jesus made this clear in Mark 13:32-33
“But of that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. (33)“Take heed, keep on the alert; for you do not know when the appointed time will come.
HOWEVER!! Jesus knew that his people would be oppressed and persecuted near the end times. This is why he gave every Christian out there fair warning in order so we can prepare ourselves for what is to come. He entrusted this information to his disciples while they were speaking to him at the Mount of Olives:
As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”
4 Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. 6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.
9 “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
Brothers and sisters, take a very close look at what is going on in this world right now. Does the long and detailed description that Jesus gave us match what is happening right now? Indeed it is shockingly accurate, and as his followers we must ready ourselves for what is next to come – THE END.
Our loving Father in the Heavens above, please hear our words! We ask for your guidance during these turbulent and troubling times. We know that we are nearing the end of this system of things and that you are giving a fair chance for everyone to learn about your name. We ask that you give us the strength we need to endure the sacrifices and persecution we are about to face. To YOU we give all the glory, and we shall forever be your faithful children. Amen!
