Newborn Helps Heal The Loss Of Great-Grandfather
This heartwarming photo captured the moment in which 92-year-old Millie Martin meeting her great-granddaughter for the very first time. The photo took Reddit by storm, gathering hundreds of comments and shares.
Scott Martin, the photographer who shared the picture, captured the sweet moment at great-grandma Millie Martin’s house. Penelope was just 2 days old at the time of the picture.

Newborn baby Penelope became the fifth great-grandchild for Millie and the first child for Scott and his wife, Jen.
She came just in time to help heal the loss of Millie’s husband, Dean, just 1 month before Penelope was born. Great-grandfather Dean was a WWII veteran.
“I think my grandmother here has been holding on for this moment. This was one of the best days of my life [and] I think it was up there for her, too,” Scott
