PARIS- At least 26 people have been killed in a combinations of shootings and explosions that echoed through Paris Friday, November 13th. It’s being called the deadliest violence in France in decades.
According to officials, 11 people were killed in a Paris restaurant in the 10th arrondissement, and around 15 more in Bataclan theater. There is currently a hostage-taking underway at the theater with up to 60 hostages.
Explosions were heard outside the Stade de France stadium north of Paris during a France-Germany football match. Officials have yet to release whether or not the two incidents are linked.
Officials were able to confirm at least one explosion in a bar near the stadium but is still unclear if there were any casualties.

The attack comes as France heightens security, preparing for a major global climate conference set to begin in two weeks. The heightened measures are being implemented out of fear of violent protests and potential terrorist attacks.
France has been on high alert since deadly attacks in January by Islamic extremists. The incident in January was against the satirical newspaper, Charlie Hebdo and a kosher grocery store which resulted in 20 dead including the 3 attackers.
There have been several other smaller-scale attack and and attempts since, including an incident on a train in August, where American travelers were able to successfully stop a heavily armed Islamic radical who was trying to attack passengers.

Holy Lord,
We ask that you protect and watch over everyone that is involved in the incident in Paris right now. Be with the emergency responders and law enforcement and give them the clarity to make rational decisions. Also be with the potential hostages and bring them peace of mind that help is on the way.
Amen”
