According to Britain’s ‘The Daily Mail’, British scientists warned women that all those hair dyes they regularly use include cancer- causing chemicals. Additionally, they claim that the same risk to health is posed by both, home hair coloring kits, and permanent dyes used at salons.
Namely, these harmful chemicals in hair dyes may react with air pollutants, such as tobacco smoke, and create one of the most potent cancerous compounds.
Moreover, researchers claim that the risk is quantified as over a third of women and one in ten men who often color their hair. Yet, the cosmetic industry strongly opposes to these claims.
Namely, this warning came from the team of scientists at a company “Green Chemicals” in Leeds. They conducted a research and reviewed the chemistry surrounding hair dye. According to them, the information that they published was readily available, and they just joined the dots’ and discovered the relation of these chemicals to cancer.
These scientists that chemicals known as secondary amines, found or formed in all types of permanent hair dyes can deeply enter the skin and remain on the hair for several weeks, months or years after the application of the dye.
They could further on react with exhaust fumes or tobacco smoke and create toxic chemicals known as N-nitrosamines. Yet, they believe that they can be generated by a simple chemical reaction.
Previously, hair dye has been related to numerous types of cancer, such as a brain, ovaries, breast and bladder cancer, as well as leukemia.
These scientists in Leeds also fear that a growing number of individuals are becoming allergic to the contents of hair dye, which can end fatally.
Instead, brunettes can use a simple trick and naturally gain the desired shine and shade. This effect can be obtained by using coffee. What’s more, this dying procedure will also stimulate hair growth.
A study published in January 2007 issue by the International Journal of Dermatology, confirmed that coffee promotes hair growth.
This is how to use coffee to dye your hair naturally:
If possible, try to find some strong organic coffee, such as espresso, as in most cases, non- organic coffee includes added chemicals. Leave the coffee to cool down. Then, mix 2 cups of some natural leave- in conditioner with two tablespoons of the coffee grounds, and add the mixture to a cup of cold brewed coffee.
Next, apply this mixture on your hair, and leave it to act for an hour. Afterward, wash the hair. It will get an incredible chocolate color, and it will not be damaged at all.
Simple Coffee Rinse
First, you need to wash your hair with your regular shampoo. Then, pour some coffee over the hair, and leave it for about 20 minutes. Afterward, rinse the coffee out using some apple cider vinegar. In the end, you need to rinse it off once again, but this time, use only warm water.
You can repeat this method several days in a row until you get the desired results. That will also help the coffee to penetrate deeply into the hair strands.
